Trading proxy in Seoul
The short answer
Yes, our trading proxy has a server in Seoul. Pick Seoul as your broker’s city when your broker’s trade server is in Seoul, wherever you trade from. You connect to our nearest server, and our Seoul server connects locally to your broker.
Choose Seoul as your broker’s city if your broker’s trade server is there.
We have a server in Seoul. You connect to our server nearest you, and you choose your broker’s city in your dashboard. The software on our servers is our own, so no one else’s proxy sits between you and your broker.
Choose Seoul if your broker’s trade server is there. The server your platform logs in to when you place an order. That city matters most, because our help is on our server’s connection to your broker. If you also trade near Seoul, you connect to that same server.
Lost data near your broker is recovered inside Seoul.
Our server’s city matters when the internet loses part of your order. When you click Buy, your order crosses the internet to your broker as small pieces of data.
Sometimes the internet loses a piece. Your computer waits, then sends it again, all the way to your broker. If that copy is lost too, it waits twice as long.
Everything sent after it waits as well. In a busy moment, this is what delays price updates and holds up your next order.
Our Seoul server opens its own local connection to your broker’s trade server. When data drops near your broker, our server recovers it inside Seoul. Dead connections are cleared fast, and broker addresses stay warm in memory.
On a quiet connection, if a piece of data is lost again, the wait before the next try doesn’t double. Normally each repeat doubles it, which is how one bad moment becomes a long freeze. The first resend waits as usual.
Note. Our help covers one connection and doesn’t shorten the distance.
Your connection to our nearest server runs over your own internet, which we don’t change. Our help is on the link between our server and your broker.
If your broker is in another city, pick that city instead.
You can trade from Seoul and still pick any city on our list as your broker’s city. The distance to your broker sets the shortest time an order can take.
If you trade from Seoul, your broker in Tokyo is about 1,150 km away in a straight line. An order then needs at least 12 milliseconds to reach your broker and get an answer back. No proxy, VPS or internet plan can beat that.
For a broker in Hong Kong, about 2,090 km away, the minimum is 21 milliseconds. The farther your broker is from your computer, the longer each recovery wait.
Choose your broker’s city so our server in that hub recovers lost data locally instead of from Seoul. Your data still covers the full distance, so that physics minimum stays the same. Paid plans never share servers with free accounts.
If your broker’s trade server is in a city we don’t list, we have no server there. Traders Proxy is then a weaker fit.
Three steps set you up, with nothing to install.
These steps send your platform’s connection to your broker through our Seoul server.
- 01
Find your broker’s city
Open your platform’s login window. It shows the name of the server your account is on, but the name does not always say the city. Ask your broker’s support which city that server is in.
Our server location guide shows how to check.
- 02
Choose Seoul as your broker’s city
Open your dashboard and go to Connect. Under Your broker’s city, press Change your broker’s city. Choose Seoul, then press Use Seoul.
Your four values point to the server you connect to, so this choice never changes them. If that server isn’t the city nearest you, press Change the server you connect to first. That one changes the Server value.
- 03
Copy four values into your platform
Under Your values for your platform, copy the server, port, login and password into your platform’s proxy setting. Restart the platform so it connects through our servers.
The login and password are your Traders Proxy ones, not your broker’s, so we never ask for your broker login. Your broker sees the address of our Seoul server.
If you picked the wrong broker’s city, change it any time, and your four values stay the same. Restart your platform to use the new city straight away. We never move you to a different city without asking.
You can see whether it helps before you rely on it.
Time how long your platform takes to connect and show live prices, once without us and once with us. Our connection check shows how.
If the two times match, you don’t need us. The problem shows up in busy sessions, so the best time to compare is a big news release. Most weeks bring one.
Know these five limits before you pay.
- It does not change your ping, the time data takes there and back. We don’t promise lower ping. Distance sets the minimum. Be wary of anyone who promises it.
- It does not change your own internet. The connection from you to our server is only as good as your internet, so a weak Wi-Fi signal stays weak.
- It does not touch anything outside your trading app. Only the trading app you set up uses Traders Proxy. Everything else stays on your normal internet, so your plan’s data goes on trading.
- It does not change your broker’s rules. If your broker prohibits proxies, don’t use one. Check your broker’s terms before you start.
- It does not keep a platform running with your computer off. If an expert advisor must run while your computer is off, you need a VPS. See proxy or VPS compared.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be in Seoul to use the Seoul server?
No. Choose Seoul as your broker’s city if your broker’s trade server is there. You connect to our server nearest you, wherever you trade from.
Does a server in Seoul shorten the distance to my broker?
No. Distance sets the minimum, and no software beats it. Our Seoul server connects locally to your broker, recovers lost data inside Seoul, and keeps broker addresses warm in memory. Your order waits on a short local link instead of the whole distance.
Is Traders Proxy a VPS in Seoul?
No. A VPS moves your whole platform to another computer. We leave your platform where it is and only change where it connects. An expert advisor (EA) that must run while your computer is off needs a trading VPS.
Does my broker allow a proxy?
Check your broker’s terms. If your broker prohibits proxies, don’t use one. Traders Proxy doesn’t change what your broker allows.
Do I get my own IP address?
No. Your broker sees one steady address. That of our server in your broker’s city, shared with other Traders Proxy customers. It changes if you change your broker’s city or we replace a server.
What if it doesn’t help me?
If your platform can’t connect through us and support can’t fix it, we refund your first payment within 7 days on a monthly plan, or 14 days on a yearly plan or Founder 50. Stop renewal in your dashboard before your renewal date to keep your paid period. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

A firewall, router or ISP drops the platform's broker connection but lets ordinary web traffic through
“i get the same issue on another system on the same internet connection (wifi vs cabel). however, if i switch the isp (troubleshooting with mobile data actually) it seems to connect”
How our system handles it. Your platform connects to our server through its built-in SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy setting, and our server opens the broker connection from inside the datacenter.

Where it stops. Works only if your network still lets you reach our server. We cannot repair a faulty home router or an ISP outage.
Home connection lags when someone else uploads or streams at home
“The goal is to set the software shaper to a bandwidth that is slightly lower than the actual (bloated) bottleneck in the hardware, so we can control the queue using FQ-CoDel or CAKE.”
Why a proxy does not change this. No claim. Lag that appears only while others upload or stream on your connection starts in your own router, which we can't change.
Where it stops. Our short send queues apply to our server's two connections only, not to your router.
MetaQuotes blocks the trader's own home or ISP address with 'No connection' on every server
“Starting from Sunday I'm unable to connect my MT5 platforms from my home network. By other networks or mobile 4G it works perfectly.”
How our system handles it. If your own internet address is the problem, your platform connects to our server and your broker sees our server's address instead of yours.

Where it stops. We cannot clear a block on your own address, and our server address can be blocked too. MQL5.community and Market calls may not use the platform proxy setting.
MetaTrader will not connect from the home network or SIM while the web, ping and other networks work
“It has to be my router or ISP blocking it. My phone won't connect either but when I switch it to use cell data it connects with no problem.”

Where it stops. Only if the fault is on the route to your broker, and only if your network lets you reach our server. We can't tell in advance, so try it before paying. It is not a way around a block you are not allowed to cross.
