Trading proxy in Zurich
The short answer
Yes, our trading proxy has a server in Zurich. Choose Zurich as your broker’s city if your broker’s trade server sits in Zurich. Your platform connects to our nearest server, and our Zurich server recovers lost data inside Zurich.
Choose Zurich as your broker’s city if your broker’s trade server is there.
We have a server in Zurich. You connect to our server nearest you, and you choose your broker’s city in your dashboard. The software on our servers is our own, so no one else’s proxy sits between you and your broker.
Choose Zurich if your broker’s trade server is there. The server your platform logs in to when you place an order. That city matters most, because our help is on our server’s connection to your broker. If you also trade near Zurich, you connect to that same server.
Our server in Zurich connects locally and recovers lost data there.
Our server’s city matters when the internet loses part of your order. When you click Buy, your order crosses the internet to your broker as small pieces of data.
Sometimes the internet loses a piece. Your computer waits, then sends it again, all the way to your broker. If that copy is lost too, it waits twice as long.
Everything sent after it waits as well. In a busy moment, this is what delays price updates and holds up your next order.
Our server in Zurich makes a separate local connection to your broker. If data drops on that local link, our server recovers it inside Zurich. Trading ports go first when a server is busy, and dead sockets are cleared fast.
On a quiet connection, if a piece of data is lost again, the wait before the next try doesn’t double. Normally each repeat doubles it, which is how one bad moment becomes a long freeze. The first resend waits as usual.
Note. Our help covers one connection and doesn’t shorten the distance.
Your connection to our nearest server runs over your own internet, which we don’t change. Our help is on the link between our server and your broker.
If your broker is in another city, pick that city instead.
You can trade from Zurich and still pick any city on our list as your broker’s city. The distance to your broker sets the shortest time an order can take.
If you trade from Zurich, your broker in Vienna is about 590 km away in a straight line. An order then needs at least 6 milliseconds to reach your broker and get an answer back. No proxy, VPS or internet plan can beat that.
For a broker in New York, about 6,320 km away, the minimum is 63 milliseconds. A longer path to your broker means a longer wait whenever your computer recovers lost data.
Select your broker’s city so lost data near your broker is recovered inside that city, not from Zurich. Your data still travels the whole way, so the distance floor stays the same. Paid plans never share servers with free accounts.
If your broker’s trade server is in a city we don’t list, we have no server there. Traders Proxy is then a weaker fit.
Three steps set you up, with nothing to install.
These steps send your platform’s connection to your broker through our Zurich server.
- 01
Find your broker’s city
Open your platform’s login window. It shows the name of the server your account is on, but the name does not always say the city. Ask your broker’s support which city that server is in.
Our server location guide shows how to check.
- 02
Choose Zurich as your broker’s city
Open your dashboard and go to Connect. Under Your broker’s city, press Change your broker’s city. Choose Zurich, then press Use Zurich.
Your four values point to the server you connect to, so this choice never changes them. If that server isn’t the city nearest you, press Change the server you connect to first. That one changes the Server value.
- 03
Copy four values into your platform
Under Your values for your platform, copy the server, port, login and password into your platform’s proxy setting. Restart the platform so it connects through our servers.
The login and password are your Traders Proxy ones, not your broker’s, so we never ask for your broker login. Your broker sees the address of our Zurich server.
If you picked the wrong broker’s city, change it any time, and your four values stay the same. Restart your platform to use the new city straight away. We never move you to a different city without asking.
You can see whether it helps before you rely on it.
Time how long your platform takes to connect and show live prices, once without us and once with us. Our connection check shows how.
If the two times match, you don’t need us. The problem shows up in busy sessions, so the best time to compare is a big news release. Most weeks bring one.
Know these five limits before you pay.
- It does not change your ping, the time data takes there and back. We don’t promise lower ping. Distance sets the minimum. Be wary of anyone who promises it.
- It does not change your own internet. The connection from you to our server is only as good as your internet, so a weak Wi-Fi signal stays weak.
- It does not touch anything outside your trading app. Only the trading app you set up uses Traders Proxy. Everything else stays on your normal internet, so your plan’s data goes on trading.
- It does not change your broker’s rules. If your broker prohibits proxies, don’t use one. Check your broker’s terms before you start.
- It does not keep a platform running with your computer off. If an expert advisor must run while your computer is off, you need a VPS. See proxy or VPS compared.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be in Zurich to use the Zurich server?
No. Choose Zurich as your broker’s city if your broker’s trade server is there. You connect to our server nearest you, wherever you trade from.
Does a server in Zurich shorten the distance to my broker?
No. Distance sets the minimum, and no software beats it. Our server in Zurich opens a separate local connection to your broker so dropped data recovers inside Zurich. Dead connections are also cleared fast so your platform can reconnect.
Is Traders Proxy a VPS in Zurich?
No. A VPS moves your whole platform to another computer. We leave your platform where it is and only change where it connects. An expert advisor (EA) that must run while your computer is off needs a trading VPS.
Does my broker allow a proxy?
Check your broker’s terms. If your broker prohibits proxies, don’t use one. Traders Proxy doesn’t change what your broker allows.
Do I get my own IP address?
No. Your broker sees one steady address. That of our server in your broker’s city, shared with other Traders Proxy customers. It changes if you change your broker’s city or we replace a server.
What if it doesn’t help me?
If your platform can’t connect through us and support can’t fix it, we refund your first payment within 7 days on a monthly plan, or 14 days on a yearly plan or Founder 50. Stop renewal in your dashboard before your renewal date to keep your paid period. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

A firewall, router or ISP drops the platform's broker connection but lets ordinary web traffic through
“General ports like 443 work fine, but the specific broker ports (e.g., 1950 for RoboForex) fail to connect, while other random ports respond correctly.”
How our system handles it. Your platform connects to our server through its built-in SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy setting, and our server opens the broker connection from inside the datacenter.
- Built-in
SOCKS5loginPrimary - Own separate connection to your brokerPrimary
- Unanswered broker server gives up fast and reportsSupporting
Where it stops. Works only if your network still lets you reach our server. We cannot repair a faulty home router or an ISP outage.
'Ping failed' and drops with disconnects every few minutes, re-login loops and dropped sessions
“hey guys,..do you have any ideas why my MT4 often disconected in a several minute or sometime ping failed reported on journal tab. By the way my internet connection doesn,t have any problem or it's always connected.”
What our system reduces. If your device drops off, our server notices quickly and frees its place, so your platform can reconnect instead of hanging.
- Dead connections found and freedPrimary
- Straight back in after a dropPrimary
- Reconnect surges admitted in a steady streamSupporting
- Own separate connection to your brokerSupporting
Where it stops. We do not prevent internet drops or fix broker faults. After a disconnect, your platform logs in again, so always use broker-side stop-loss orders.
Virtual hosting limits with one account per server and no custom DLLs
“If it requires DLL calls, it will not work on it, because they are prohibited.”
How local trading avoids it. Your platform runs on your own computer with your own charts and custom DLLs. Plans count connected devices, not trading accounts.
- Platform stays on your own computerPrimary
Where it stops. We do not host Expert Advisors. If your computer sleeps or goes offline, your robot stops.
Remote-desktop session freezes, drops, or shows "connection has been lost"
“I added the dword `fClientDisableUDP` into HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\Terminal Services\\Client and set as 1. Logged in and out.....problem solved.”
How local trading avoids it. Your platform runs on your own computer, so there's no remote-desktop session to freeze or drop.
- Platform stays on your own computerPrimary
Where it stops. Your platform's connection to our server can still drop. We notice quickly and your platform can reconnect, but we never promise it won't happen.
